Darlene was born and lives on the prairies where she finds inspiration
for her work from the wide open spaces, falt lands and big skies.
But she was inspired to become an artist while living in the Yukon
in 2004 where she met and was excited about art by a talented and
giving group of artists. She took her first painting workshop nearly
20 years ago but just recently became a full time artist seriously
focusing on her art and creativity. She is drawn to still life arrangements
that find beauty in their simplicity, to scenes that reveal the
organic and natural and to the dramatic and romantic cobblestone
strees and architecture of Spanish cultures. Her work includes photography
using a basic digital cameral and paintings with acrylic on board
or canvas.
